BICS’ work over the last year has been recognized by leading media title, Telecoms.com, with two shortlisted entries for the Global Telecom (Glotel) Awards.
Now in their 11th year, the Glotel Awards recognize innovation and excellence from any company advancing and transforming today’s telecoms industry globally. All qualifying entries are examined, discussed, and voted on by the Glotel Awards panel of independent judges.
BICS has been shortlisted in two categories:
- Connecting the Unconnected – BICS has been shortlisted for its numerous partnerships to address the digital divide, including work on satellite connectivity, VoLTE and post-sunset roaming interoperability.
- Most Innovative Operator Cloud Offering – BICS has been shortlisted for its work with SK Telecom, Samsung Electronics, and AWS on a Roaming Edge Cloud solution.
Mikael Schachne, VP Telco at BICS said:
“BICS values collaboration and community in all our projects, so it is a great honor to have our work with our partners recognized by judges from across the industry and to be shortlisted for the Glotel Awards. Closing the digital divide is something that continues to drive our work at BICS, and we are grateful that publications like Telecoms.com use their platforms to highlight the work that still needs to be done.”
